Bergen Catholic continued its New Jersey dominance Friday night with its fourth straight Non-Public A high school football championship. The Crusaders, ranked No. 8 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat No. 101 Don Bosco Prep 25-7 at MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and New York Jets.

This one was close until the fourth quarter. The BC defense contributed two safeties, which broke a 7-7 tie.

After losing to national power IMG Academy (Florida) in its opener, BC ripped-off 11 straight wins. It was the Crusaders second win of the year against their arch-rivals. They’ve now won six of their last seven meertings, but still trail in the all-time series 41-38-2.
