For the first time since 2009, Corona Centennial suffers a loss in the Big VII League. Norco edged the Huskies 38-36 in a battle of California Top 25 teams.
Tied at 28, a CC turnover gave the ball to Norco at the Huskies’ six-yard line. Jacob Rosendahl scored on a 5-yard run with 2:17 to play to take a 35-28 lead. After Centennial was unable to move the ball on its next drive, a Carson Irvin field goal extended the lead to 38-28.
Norco QB Kyle Crum had a big game with 117 yards rushing.

Corona Centennial entered the game No. 10 in the High School Football America statewide rankings. Norco will rise from its No. 24 spot when the new rankings come out next week.
