For the first time in school history, North Polk is an Iowa high school football state champ. Thursday night at the UNI-Dome, the Comets beat Pella 24-14 to win the Class 4A championship game.
“Winning the state championship is incredible,” North Polk running back B.J. Tate, Jr. told IAHSAA.com “We’re going to celebrate, get a good night’s sleep, and live in the moment.”
