Walsh Jesuit makes a six position jump in the latest High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Warriors move to No. 15 after a 19-14 win over former No. 2 Archbishop Hoban.
Hoban drops to No. 6. This week, the Knights will try to get back into the win column when it hosts No. 5 Glenville. The Tarblooders are looking for a third straight state championship this year.
The Glenville/Hoban matchup is one of three head-to-head matchups inside the Top 25 this weekend.
In Cincinnati, No. 9 St. Xavier can wrap-up second place in the Great Catholic League South by beating No. 21 La Salle.
First place is on the line in the Ohio Capital Central Conference in the showdown between No. 12 Upper Arlington and No. 18 Olentangy Orange.
No. 11 Elder has an out-of-state matchup against Riverdale Baptist (Maryland), No. 56 in the HSFA 300 national rankings. The Panthers are currently ranked No. 213 in the nation.
There are two new additions to the Top 25 — Steubenville at No. 24 and Austintown-Fitch at No. 25.
