In a battle of two schools looking for their first-ever Georgia high school football championship, Perry beat Stockbridge 38-27 for the 4A championship Tuesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons. Stockbridge entered the contest No. 178 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Quarterback Colter Ginn was 16-of-27 for 261 yards with one touchdown pass. That was to Cincinnati-recruit Dakari Anderson, who caught seven balls for 148 yards.
The state championship comes in Perry’s 70th year of high school football.
