Saturday was a huge day for 48 teams that are part of the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles Girls Flag Initiative presented by Gatorade, Hilco and Planet Fitness. The teams from Pennsylvania and New Jersey attended the team’s second annual girls’ flag football jamboree at the National Football League‘s NovaCare Complex.
The teams took part in scrimmages and a special photoshoot. The jamboree is part of the Eagles ongoing commitment to grow the game of girls flag at the high school level.

Launched in 2022 to provide more opportunities for female participation in sport, the girls high school flag football league began with 15 schools from the Philadelphia Public and Catholic Leagues. Now entering its second season, the league has grown to 52 teams across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the goal to make girls flag football an official sanctioned sport in the State of Pennsylvania.
Congratulations to our Minutemaid Flag Football team on a successful day at the @Eagles Flag Football Jamboree 🏈🎉
