If Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California) can win its third straight High School Football America “mythical” national championship, it’s going to do it by playing one of the toughest schedules in America. The Monarchs, our Preseason No. 1, will play seven of its ten regular season games against teams that are ranked in our Preseason 100 — No. 2 St. John Bosco, No. 3 St. John’s College HS (Washington, DC), No. 10 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Maryland), No. 16 Corona Centennial (California), No. 40 JSerra (San Juan Capistrano, California), No. 44 Orange Lutheran (California) and No. 69 Centennial (Peoria, Arizona).
