It took awhile, but Texas high school football teams will be allowed to use video technology during games in 2024. The University Interscholastic League has approved the use of video & data technology such as computers, tablets, i-Pads, smart phones during the game. However, the UIL stopped short of mimicking the recently passed NCAA rule that allows the technology on the field during the game. Instead, the UIL only allows its use in the coaching booths, during the game, and at halftime in the locker room.
For the past five years, High School Football America has worked with our partner GameStrat to educate the coaching profession on the company’s premier sideline instant replay system.
Below, you can listen to GameStrat Director of Sales Ben Fisher on the High School Football America Podcast talking about the exciting news that in-game video technology is coming to the Lone Star State.
