Bishop Gorman opens 2022 as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Nevada Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The Gaels, ranked No. 13 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, open the season Friday night against Utah-power Corner Canyon.
BG, which won the HSFA national championship in 2016, will once again play one of the top out-of-state schedules in the nation.

After the Corner Canyon game, the Gaels will host defending national champ Mater Dei from Southern California. On September 2, BG plays St. Louis from Hawaii, followed by Hamilton (No. 51 in HSFA 100) from Arizona on September 9 and Georgia’s Brookwood (No. 80 in HSFA 100) on September 16.

Like Gorman, No. 2 Liberty has a strong out-of-state schedule. The Patriots, who are also ranked No. 96 in America, have four OOS games.
After opening in-state game against Palo Verde, the Patriots face Utah defending 6A champ Lone Peak on August 26, followed by California’s Pittsburg (No. 101 in HSFA 300) on September 3, No. 104 Atascocita (Texas) on September 9 and Kamehameha Kapalama from Honolulu, Hawaii.
Rounding-out the Nevada Top 5 is Arbor View at No. 3, 4A champ Silverado at No. 4 and Bishop Manogue at No. 5.
