Newton continues to move up in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Two weeks after handing Westlake its first loss, the Rams beat the Grayson Rams 31-27.
The win lifts Newton from No. 15 to No. 13 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. Grayson falls four spots to No. 14.
Newton now is tied at the top of 7A Region 4 with No. 15 Parkview. Both own 1-0 records in the region.
With both No. 1 Buford and No. 3 Mill Creek on their bye week before their October 13 showdown, No. 4 Walton and No. 17 North Cobb take centerstage. The winner gets the inside track to the 7A Region 5 championship.
