A 4-5 start didn’t deter Saguaro from achieving a goal of winning another state championship. Saturday, at Arizona State’s Mountain American Stadium, the Sabercats captured their 14th overall state title with a 40-20 win over Red Mountain.
The title may move Saguaro back into the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football. The Cats began the year No. 38 in our preseason rankings, but tumbled out of the national rankings on October 29.
