San Juan rolled-out to a 35-0 halftime lead on the way to a 60-14 win over Emery for the Class 2A Utah high school football championship. It’s the fourth in a row for the Broncos, who are the eighth team in Utah high school football history to win four straight.
The last team to win four straight was Duchesne between 2010 and 2013.
Salt Lake City’s West High hold the all-time record with eight straight. However those titles between 1898 and 1905 were before the state started playing for state championship. Instead, between 1898 and 1918, the state champ was chosen by records.
