Tesoro head coach Matt Poston is excited about the 2014 season. Poston, who is beginning his second year as the Titans’ head man, has plenty of experience back on both sides of the ball from a 9-3 campaign last year that saw Tesoro advance to the 2nd round of the CIF-Southern Section Pac-5 playoffs where the Titans lost to eventual state champ St. John Bosco, which finished 2nd in High School Football America’s national Top 25 rankings.
The Titans should have plenty of firepower with junior quarterback Devon Modster looking to improve on a sophomore season that saw him throw for over 1,700 yards and 11 touchdowns. Poston says Modster will have plenty of receivers to work with led by all-South Coast League receiver Jake Smeltzer.
