Denton Ryan soars seven spots in the penultimate High School Football America Texas Top 25. The Raiders jump seven spots to No. 3 after a surprisingly easy 35-7 win over former No. 3 Lone Star. Ryan will play Shadow Creek, which enters the Top 25 at No. 25, for the Class 5A Division I title on Friday.
The City of Denton has a lot to be excited about, because on Saturday, No. 4 Guyer will play No. 7 Austin Westlake for the 6A Division II championship.
Of course, all eyes will be on the Class 6A Division I championship game between No. 1 Duncanville and No. 2 North Shore. Last year, North Shore captured the state championship on a Hail Mary pass.
