With Georgia’s region realignment for 2024 and 2025, reigning 6A champ Thomas County Central will defend its title in 5A. And, interestingly, the Yellow Jackets are in the same region as ’23 5A champ Coffee.
It can be argued that the 5A Region 2 is the toughest in all classifications. Aside from TCC and Coffee, the region includes Houston County, Lee County, Northside (Warner Robins) and Veterans. Only Veterans is the only team that didn’t spend time last year in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Thomas County Central finished No. 86 in the HSFA 300.
