The top six teams in the High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25 hold their spots in the latest rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. However, there’s a complete change from No. 7 on down with three teams making their first appearance this season.

Harrisburg moves-up three spots to No. 11 after handing former No. 9 Cumberland Valley its first loss of the season. CV drops three spots to No. 12 after the 30-14 loss.

This week, Harrisburg will continue its drive for a Mid-Penn Conference Commonwealth title when it plays Altoona (4-1 overall, 1-1 MPCC). Right now, the Cougars are tied with No. 5 State College. Both teams are 2-0 in league play. Harrisburg and State College will meet on October 15.

No. 4 North Allegheny took a big step toward a 6A Tri-County Five championship with a 7-3 win over Pittsburgh Central Catholic. PCC sits at No. 19 after the loss.

Undefeated Upper St. Clair soars into our statewide rankings after handing Peters Township its first loss of the season. USC sits at No. 17 after the 17-10 victory.

This week, Upper St. Clair will take-on defending 6A champ Mt. Lebanon (2-3) in a non-league contest.

Hempfield Area makes its first-ever appearance in the Top 25 after beating reigning 5A champ Penn-Trafford 28-17. This week, the No. 23 ranked Spartans will face No. 15 Gateway in a 5A Big East Conference showdown.

Both Mt. Lebanon and Penn-Trafford drop from this week’s Top 25.

Upper Dublin is the third new entrant into the Top 25. The Cardinals are No. 25 this week.
