The most decorated high school football program in Texas is heading back to AT&T Stadium for another chance at a state title. Two-time defending state Aledo, ranked No. 61 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings powered by BlackMP Living Water, beat Wichita Falls Rider 55-28 Friday night to advance to the Class 5A Division II championship game.
Aledo will be looking for its 10th state title when it plays Crosby next Friday in the home of the Dallas Cowboys. Crosby beat Liberty Hill 62-61 in overtime in the other state semifinal.
Aledo’s final score is a little misleading, because the Bearcats only led 21-14 with 5:46 left in the third quarter.

After that, Aledo got a touchdown run from Demarco Roberts and recovered a fumble in the end zone in the middle of a 20-0 run into the fourth quarter.
