Santa Margarita opens the 2015 season tonight against Cathedral Catholic in San Diego.
Two weeks ago, High School Football America stopped by the Eagles’ fall camp and talked with second year head coach Rick Curtis, plus his four captains — quarterback K.J. Costello, linebacker/running back Matt Mark, receiver Jerome Bohuslavizki and center Tanner Prenovost.
The Eagles, who finished 6-5 last year with a first round loss in the CIF-Southern Section PAC-5 playoffs, should be able to score with anyone with Stanford-commit Costello at the helm of the offense.
You can watch a preview of what Curtis and his captain think of the Costello-led offense below.
Curtis hopes the defense can improve from a year ago, when the Eagles gave-up 314 points. Curtis likes his linebackers Mark and Tanner Matthews.
