Troy Thomas’ second stint at Servite is over. Below is the announcement from the school that the two sides have parted ways:
After a combined 13 seasons, Servite High School and Head Football Coach Troy Thomas have parted ways.
Athletic Director Matt Marrujo shared, “On behalf of the Servite Leadership Team, I would like to thank Coach Thomas for his dedication and service to the young men of Servite and for instilling in his players the life-long desire for hard work and discipline. We wish Coach Thomas and his family the best in their future endeavors.”
Most recently, Coach Thomas led the varsity team to a 26-23 overall record in five seasons at the helm with appearances in the CIF Finals and CIF Quarterfinals. He also supported over 35 student-athletes in their journeys to becoming collegiate athletes. Coach Thomas previously served as head coach at Servite from 2005-2012, winning seven league titles, two CIF PAC 5 championships, and one State title while going 75-25 overall in eight seasons.

Thomas led Servite to a 1-9 season last year, which comes one year at the Friars finished No. 7 in the High School Football America national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
