Zaevion Dobson, a 15-year old sophomore football player at Fulton High School who was killed last December, will be honored at next month’s ESPY Awards.  Dobson will be given the Arthur Ashe Courage Award that recognizes those who embody the spirit of Ashe, a human-rights advocate.

Dobson was killed while trying to protect three girls who were in danger of being shot after several men began randomly firing shots near his home.  According to police reports, Dobson jumped on top of three girls to protect them from the gunfire.  Dobson, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was the only one hit.
