The Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, which had three teams ranked nationally in the High School Football America 100 in 2019, will not be playing high school football in the Fall due to the coronavirus pandemic.
WCAC officials have announced they are postponing Fall sports, including high school football, until after January 1, 2021 with the first of the year being a possible start date. The WCAC has 13 teams in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
2019 WCAC champ Good Counsel (Maryland) finished No. 12 in the nation, followed by Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) at No. 40 and DeMatha (Maryland) at No. 41.

Earlier this month, the District of Columbia State Athletic Association announced it’s moving football into the Spring.
