Indiana No. 1 Center Grove rolls with third shutout

Center Grove is on a dominating roll. Friday night, the top-ranked Trojans rolled-over No. 4 North Central. CG has now beaten three straight Indiana Top 10 teams by shutout — North Central 47-0, Carmel 42-0 and Warren Central 20-0.

Running back Carson Steele ran for 175 yards with three touchdowns to become the school’s all-time leading rusher with 4,848 yards. He also set all-time records for career points (386) and total touchdowns (64).

No. 2 Brownsburg improved to 5-0 with a 42-6 win over Fishers. This week, the Bulldogs will face Westfield, which enters the Top 10 at No. 9 this week after beating former No. 5 Hamilton Southeastern 14-3.

No. 3 Cathedral opened its three-week run against Cincinnati-area powers with a 25-22 win over St. Xavier. Up next for the Irish will be La Salle.

Joining Westfield as a new Top 10 entrant is Merrillville at No. 10.
