Four-time defending Edna Karr moves-up one spot to No. 2 in the High School Football America Louisiana Top 10 after its 34-31 win last week over former No. 2 Catholic (Baton Rouge). Acadiana also picks up a spot this week after beating former No. 4 John Curtis on Sunday. The Rams are ranked No. 4 in the state this week, plus they moved into the High School Football America 100 national rankings at No. 79.
Right now, the top five teams in the statewide rankings are ranked nationally — No. 18 Archbishop Rummel, No. 46 Catholic (Baton Rouge), No. 47 Edna Karr, No. 79 Acadiana and No. 83 John Curtis. Zachary (No. 102) and Carencro (No. 121) are “on the bubble.”
