Bergen Catholic finishes No. 1 in the 2021 New Jersey Top 25

For the second year in a row, Bergen Catholic finishes as the top team in the High School Football America New Jersey Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. The Non-Public A state champs finished well ahead of No. 2 Don Bosco Prep in our rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

BC beat DBP twice in 2021, including in the state title game.

The top public school team is Cedar Creek at No. 10. The Pirates won the Group 3 South Regional title with a one-point win over No. 14 Woodrow Wilson of Camden.

Irvington made the biggest move in the final statewide rankings for 2021. The Blue Knights finish at No. 15, which is a seven spot improvement from the last rankings after handing Northern Highlands their first loss of the season in the Group 4 North Regional championship game. Northern Highlands falls five spots to finish the season at No. 16.
