After back-to-back state titles in 2021 and 2022, Benedictine was upset in the 4A state semifinals last season by Stockbridge. For the next two years, the Cadets will be in Region 1-AAAA, probably the toughest in the classification.

Benedictine is joined by reigning state 4A champ Perry, six-time state champ Warner Robins and 2022 5A champ Ware County. The region rounds-out with New Hampstead and Wayne County.

After finishing No. 194 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, last year, the Cadets have put together another tough non-region schedule. Three of their five non-region games come against teams that finished the year inside the HSFA 300.

The Cadets will open on the road against No. 71 Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Georgia), followed by a road game at No. 49 Buford (Georgia). After playing Burke County, the Cadets travel to Ohio to take-on powerful Archbishop Moeller. The Crusaders finished No. 82 in the nation last year.
