The 2020 California high school football season is short-and-sweet, and being played in the spring due to COVID-19. However, this Saturday, everyone gets to find-out the best in the state when top-ranked St. John Bosco, the 2019 High School Football America national champs, play No. 2 Mater Dei, the 2017 and 2018 national champs, at the Santa Ana Bowl in Southern California.
With no postseason due to the pandemic, most experts agree that this is THE game for all of the marbles. Both teams enter the contest undefeated. In the last ten games, these rivals have split them evenly with five wins apiece.
Another showdown this week will be in the South Coast League with No. 6 Mission View taking-on No. 13 San Clemente.
