Dallas Kimball head coach Brandon “Bam” Harrison is the latest Dallas Cowboys High School Coach of the Week.
Harrison, a former NFL draft pick and an All-State wide receiver during his playing days at Kimball, currently has the Knights on a two-game winning streak after losing their first three games of the 2022 season.
Kimball’s win streak will be tested Friday night when they play nationally-ranked South Oak Cliff. SOC, the state’s reigning Class 5A Division II state champ, is currently ranked No. 175 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football.
Over the last 15-years, Harrison has been working his way through the high school coaching ranks. He started as an offensive coordinator at a private school in Southern California before returning to Texas where he became an assistant in the powerful DeSoto High School football program.
This is Harrison’s second head coaching job. He served as DeSoto’s interim head coach in 2018.
Harrison was taken by the San Diego Chargers in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. The former wide receiver and kick and punt return specialist played two years with the Chargers and another with the Philadelphia Eagles.
