Frisco Reedy head coach Chad Cole is the Dallas Cowboys 2022 High School Coach of the Year. The honor makes him a finalist for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award.
Cole has been the school’s head coach since it opened in 2016. This past season, Cole, who was also named the team’s Week 1 Coach of the Week, led the Lions to a 12-1 ranking, losing in the third round of the Texas 5A Division I playoffs.
Reedy finished 2022 ranked No. 197 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

The 2022 season marked the 28th year the Dallas Cowboys honored high school football coaches with the Coach of the Week program. The program spans the length of the high school football season and is designed to aid and promote high school football and the development of youth football.
The goal of the Coach of the Week program is to give high school football coaches the recognition they deserve and provide schools financial assistance to maintain and upgrade their football programs.
Over the life of the program, the Coach of the Week program has provided more than 285 grants totaling more than $470,000 to area football programs.
