First Michigan reversed course, now Delaware high school football is headed back to 2020. On Thursday, the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Directors voted to allow high school football practice to begin September 28.

If the Delaware Board of Education approves the DIAA’s plan at its September 17 meeting, high school football games would begin October 23. Last month, the DIAA voted to move football to 2021 with practice beginning February 19.
The DIAA’s new plan calls for a seven-game regular season followed by playoffs involving four teams in the state’s two divisions.

Earlier this week, Michigan decided to reverse its earlier of decision of playing the 2020 season in 2021.
On Tuesday, the Colorado High School Activities Association decided that it would stick with its August decision to move its 2020 high school football season to 2021.
