We keep getting the same question every week…who’s the best in Georgia?
My answer remains the same…there are a lot of top-notch teams around Georgia and eventually the state playoffs will decide who’s the best. Right now the Top 10 teams in the state rankings are also ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.
Top-ranked Lowdnes is currently leading the way nationally at No. 9 in the Top 100.

As it relates to our algorithm in-state, the top eight teams are very close to each other. And, as we head down the stretch of the regular season, there will be several head-to-head matchups in the Top 25 that will shape the statewide rankings heading into the state playoffs.
There are several such matchups this week as No. 2 McEachern squares-off with No. 8 Hillgrove, No. 5 Grayson plays No. 15 Archer and No. 7 North Gwinnett plays No. 14 Mill Creek.
Collins Hill, which only has suffered losses to McEachern and No. 3 Marietta enters the Top 25 at No. 24 this week.
