Two COVID-19 cases ruined the end of the 2020 Pennsylvania high school football season for two highly-ranked teams.
Former No. 3 Pittsburgh Central Catholic and former No. 12 Warwick both had to forfeit their state quarterfinal games due to the coronavirus pandemic.
McDowell moves to the Class 6A state semifinals as a result of the PCC forfeit. The Trojans will play Central York next week. Central York continues to climb in the High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25 after beating Delaware Valley. The Panthers are up five spots to No. 9 this week.
