Moapa Valley head football coach Brent Lewis is the Las Vegas Raiders 2022 Tom Flores High School Coach of the Year. Lewis was honored before his entire team in a surprise ceremony at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders.
Raiders Youth Football Manager Jordan Aguilar spoke with Coach Lewis and this team, along with Raiders wide receiver Albert Wilson and former Raiders QB Jim Plunkett, who presented Lewis with the Tom Flores Coach of the Year award and a check for $2,000.
This past season, Moapa Valley finished 11-1 with its lone loss coming against Truckee (California) in the Nevada 3A championship game.
In 21 years as a head coach Brent Lewis owns a career record of 184-64. The Moapa Valley alum has led the school to four of its 17 overall high school football championships.
