New Orleans Saints hosting six Louisiana high school football championship games at Caesars Superdome

The curtain falls on the 2021 Louisiana high school football season this weekend at Caesars Superdome.Six championship games will be played at the home of the National Football League‘s New Orleans Saints.

Headlining the championship card will be the finale on Saturday night when Zachary, No. 2 in the High School Football America Louisiana Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football, plays No. 9 Ponchatoula. Zachary is looking for its first state title since 2018. The last time the Green Wave won a title was in 1941.

Friday night, No. 8 Westgate plays No. 10 Warren Easton for the 4A title. Warren Easton will be looking for its first title since 1942. The Eagles will be playing in their fourth state championship since 2014.

Westgate, after upsetting Edna Karr in the state semifinals, will be playing in its first title.

The Division II championship game between No. 5 University Lab (Baton Rouge) and E.D. White will be played Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Cajun Field at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Division IV – No. 1 Ouachita Christian (13-0) vs. No. 2 Southern Lab (10-2), Noon

Class 2A – No. 1 Many (13-1) vs. No. 6 Amite (10-2), 3 p.m.

Class 4A – No. 5 Westgate (12-2) vs. No. 3 Warren Easton (9-2), 7 p.m.

December 11, 2021

Class 1A – No. 1 Logansport (9-4) vs. No. 2 Homer (10-3), Noon

Class 3A – No. 1 Sterlington (14-0) vs. No. 7 Union Parish (11-3), 3:30 p.m.

Class 5A – No. 1 Zachary (14-0) vs. No. 3 Ponchatoula (12-0), 7 p.m.
