Ten new teams enter HSFA 300 national high school football rankings

The High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football, welcomes ten new teams this week.

Before we get to the newbies, let’s check the top of the rankings where Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) moves-up two spots to No. 8 after knocking-off former No. 24 Miami Northwestern 42-14 on Saturday.

C-M scored 35 unanswered points to blow the game open. Next week, the Lions face No. 14 American Heritage (Plantation, Florida). AH brings a 4-0 record into the contest.

Ohio’s Archbishop Moeller picks-up five spots this week. Big Moe sits at No. 13 after beating former No. 12 Good Counsel (Maryland) 39-31 in the Ironton Gridiron Classic.

New to the Top 25 this week is Grayson (Georgia) at No. 25. The Rams are off to a 4-0 start after back-to-back wins against South Carolina opponents.

This week’s big mover is Alabama’s Opelika High School. The Bulldogs soar from No. 300 to No. 71 after beating former No. 27 Central (Phenix City, Alabama) 17-14 in overtime.

Creekside from Georgia also vaults into the Top 100 after surprising former No. 44 East St. Louis (Illinois) 10-8. The Tribe moves from No. 192 to No. 89. ESL, which nearly upset No. 4 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) in its season opener, falls to No. 90.
