Elder gave No. 12 St. Ignatius all it could handle on Saturday before the Wildcats improved to to 5-0 with a 30-28 at The Pit. The Wildcats entered the game ranked No. 2 in the High School Football America Ohio Top 25, while Elder entered No. 18.

St. Ignatius trailed Elder 21-20 early in the third quarter, but the Wildcats scored the next ten points with a FG and a 50-yard Daniel Alexander TD pass.
