The Alabama Sports Writers Association has released its preseason high school football rankings for each classification.

The top team in 7A is Central of Phenix City. The defending champs are also the highest-ranked Alabama team in the High School Football America 300 preseason national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Red Devils are ranked No. 21 in the HSFA 300.

In all, there are eight Alabama teams in our preseason national rankings:
