For the first time in the history of the Atlanta Falcons, the National Football League team has given its High School Coach of the Year to a high school girls’ flag football coach. Zach Corcoran of St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School in Columbus becomes the Falcons nominee for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award.

Corcoran was the Falcons Week 7 honoree. He led the Lady Vikings to a regional championship and a berth in the 2021 playoffs.
