The Jamey Dubose Era at Lowndes High School will begin with the 3-time Alabama state championship coach taking-on Alabama-power Hoover in the 29th annual Corky Kell Classic at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The Hoover matchup will be one of two out-of-state games for the Vikings, who finished No. 16 in the High School Football America 100 after losing to Marietta in the Georgia 7A state championship game. On September 4, the Vikings will host Jacksonville, Florida’s Oakleaf High School.

Dubose became Lowndes’ head coach after Randy McPherson retired after 18-years as the Vikings’ head coach at the end of last season.
Lowndes plays in the extremely tough Region 1-AAAAAAA with Camden County, Colquitt County and Tift County.
