Add another honor to the resume of legendary Highland Park (Texas) head football coach Randy Allen. The Texas High School Coaches Association has named Allen the winner of the 2024 Tom Landry Award.
Created in 1990, the Landry Award is given annually to a Texas high school football coach who has made a significant contribution to the game of football in the Lone Star State.

Allen enters 2024, his 44th as a head football coach, second on the state’s all-time coaching wins list with 446 victories. He trails Phil Danaher, who won 490 games during his legendary career.
