It’s early, but it’s time for No. 1 versus No. 2 in the High School Football America Louisiana Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Top-ranked Catholic (Baton Rouge), fresh off a 23-20 win over No. 6 Destrehan, hits the road to play two-time reigning Select Division II state champ St. Thomas More. STM opened with a one-point win over Carencro. Catholic is the reigning Select Division I champ.

Ruston, the reigning Non-Select Division I champ, moves up a notch to No. 3 after beating Acadiana 35-27. Despite the loss, the Rams move up one from No. 8 to No. 7 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

This week, Acadiana will try to get into the 2024 win column when it plays No. 4 Zachary.
