The Mustangs won their second straight state championship in the state’s biggest classification by beating former No. 1 Duncanville in the 6A Division I title game. The Panthers drop to No. 2.
Westlake moves-up four spots in the final statewide rankings to No. 3 after winning the Class 6A Division II championship.
Aledo and Shadow Creek are the biggest movers this week.
Shadow Creek in just its second year of varsity football soars from No. 25 to No. 10 after beating former No. 3 Denton Ryan in the 5A Division I title game.
After capturing the Class 5A Division II championship, Aledo moves from from No. 11 to No. 4.
