After four state championships in the biggest classification in Texas high school football. North Shore head coach Jon Kay is moving to the college ranks. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is reporting that Kay will become the linebackers coach at Rice.
During his nine years at the head of North Shore, the Mustangs were 117-18 with 6A Division I titles in 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2021.
Last year, North Shore lost to Duncanville in the championship game. The Mustangs finished No. 10 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
