Springfield is up one spot to No. 2 in the latest High School Football America Ohio Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. The Wildcats advanced to the Division I state semifinals by shutting-out previously unbeaten Marysville 26-0.
Next-up for Springfield is No. 6 Archbishop Moeller, which advanced to the state semis by beating No. 4 Lakota West 21-17.
In the other Division I semifinal top-ranked St. Edward will face No. 12 Upper Arlington. UA is a perfect 14-0 after knocking-off former No. 2 Pickerington Central 21-14 for Region 3 championship.
In Division II, No. 6 Archbishop Hoban will play No. 14 in the state semis. Hoban, the defending champ, is looking for its sixth state title in the last seven years. In the other semi, No. 13 Winton Woods plays unranked Green.
Defending Division III state champ Chardon moves-up two spots in the latest rankings to No. 14. The Hilltoppers will play West Holmes in the state semis this weekend.
