Chaminade-Madonna’s hopes of a High School Football America national championship is alive and well. Thursday night, the Lions, ranked No. 4 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat No. 180 Clearwater Central Catholic 48-14 at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee.

The Lions, who have now won seven overall state titles, roared-out to 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back. C-M has now won back-to-back titles, but the first under the new 1M classification. The title is also their fifth in the last six seasons.
Quarterback Cedrick Bailey had a big game by completing 16-of-24 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns.
Running back Davion Gause ran for 189 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns.
