This week’s Class 7A state quarterfinals will feature six teams in the High School Football America Alabama Top 10 with two head-to-head matchups.
Leading the way will be top-ranked Hoover taking-on No. 3 Hewitt-Trussville for the second time this year, while No. 4 Central (Phenix City) will square-off with No. 8 Theodore. Back on October 1, Hoover beat H-T 34-10.
A Hoover win could result in Bucs versus two-time defending champ Thompson in the state semis. No. 2 Thompson plays Oak Mountain in the quarters.

On the the nation scene, Alabama has four teams in the High School Football America 100 powered by NFL Play Football. Hoover leads the way at No. 9, followed by Thompson at No. 15, Hewitt-Trussville at No. 90 and Central at No. 94.
Spanish Fort moves-up three spots in the newest rankings to No. 7 after former No. 7 Fairhope was upset by Enterprise in the 7A first round.
Moving into the Top 10 is Pinson Valley at No. 10.
