Hoover’s 24-21 defeat of two-time defending 7A champ Thompson puts the Bucs at No. 1 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Hoover began 2019 ranked No. 1 in the state, but the Bucs’ Week 3 loss to Thompson put the Warriors at No. 1. Thompson held that top spot since September 9, 2019 until today.
On the national scene, Hoover moves-up two spots to No. 9 in the latest High School Football America 100. Thompson falls from No. 3 to No. 15 nationally.
