For the second time in the last six years, Milton is the No. 1 football team in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. After a 3-2 start, the Eagles ripped-off ten straight wins on the way to a 7A state championship. Milton finishes ahead of No. 2 Walton after beating the Raiders 31-21 for the state title.
2022 7A champ Mill Creek finishes No. 3 in the statewide rankings, created with our proprietary algorithm. Checking-in behind the Hawks is Buford at No. 4, followed by Colquitt County at No. 5, Carrollton at No. 6, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at No. 7, Grayson at No. 8, 6A champ Thomas County Central at No. 9 and 5A champ Coffee at No. 10.
On the national scene, Milton was the highest ranked team in the HSFA 300. The Eagles were ranked No. 18 in the nation.
