The top of the High School Football America Georgia is fill with plenty of teams capable of winning state championships. Friday night, we’ll get a look at two of the front-runners in Class 7.
Those two teams also happen to been No. 1 and No. 2 in the latest HSFA Georgia Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football.
Buford has held-on to its Preseason No. 1 ranking with a 6-0 start that includes wins over four teams in our national rankings — No. 54 Thompson (Alabama), No. 61 North Cobb (Georgia), No. 92 Mallard Creek (North Carolina) and No. 166 Collins Hill (Georgia). Nationally, the three-time defending champion Wolves are ranked No. 2.

No. 2 Mill Creek is also a perfect 6-0 with a No. 20 national ranking. The Hawks have beaten three nationally-ranked teams from Georgia — No. 47 Cedar Grove, No. 75 Walton and No. 245 Parkview.
In addition to the national and state rankings, the winner will take the first step to a Region 8-AAAAAAA title. Both teams own 1-0 regional records.
In another Top 25 head-to-head this week, No. 13 Westlake takes-on No. 16 Carrollton in a Region 2-AAAAAAA showdown.
No. 9 Walton will try to rebound from its 33-6 loss to No. 7 North Cobb in their Region 5-AAAAAAA opener against No. 21 Kennesaw Mountain.
New to the Top 25 this week is Houston County at No. 24. The Bears make their first-ever appearance in our Top 25 after beating Northside (Warner Robins) 21-17. Northside drops a notch to No. 25 after losing to the Bears.
