St. Frances Academy is the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Maryland Top 10 for the third straight season. The Panthers, who are also currently ranked No. 3 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, only loss this season was to two-time defending “mythical” national champ Mater Dei (California).
Falling-in behind SFA is Washington Catholic Athletic Conference playoff champ Good Counsel at No. 2, followed by DeMatha at No. 3 and Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference champ Mount St. Joseph at No. 4.
Mount St. Joseph and No. 5 McDonogh continue to slowly climb in the national rankings to No. 122 and No. 125 respectively. Good Counsel is currently No. 12 in the nation, while DeMatha is No. 42.
Class 4A state champ Wise is the highest rated public school in the state at No. 7. Moving into the final statewide ranking is 3A champ Damascus at No. 10.
