After knocking-off former No. 9 Mill Creek last week for the Region 8-AAAAAAA championship, Collins Hill assured itself the No. 1 spot in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 heading into the playoffs. The 10-0 Eagles will be on a bye this week with the postseason starting next week.
On the national scene, Collins Hill is ranked No. 18 in the High School Football America 100.

Aside from Mill Creek’s loss, which dropped the Hawks to No. 10 in the new rankings, No. 21 Jefferson was the only other Top 25 team to lose last weekend. The Dragons lost to 11-6 to North Oconee, which drops the 2020 Class 4A runner-ups out of the statewide rankings powered by NFL Play Football.
Replacing Jefferson is Woodward Academy at No. 23. This week, the War Eagles will close-out the regular season against No. 8 Creekside. The winner captures the Region 3-AAAAA championship.
